No, I don't wear a leotard and legwarmers....although, I'm not totally against it ;)


Just over 10 years ago, a friend told me I should grab a Groupon that was available and try out Jazzercise, she threw a few fun punches in the air and said I would love it. Ten years later, she was totally right, Jazzercise is my workout.

How it started


I was newly pregnant with our daughter but was sure I would be fine starting a new workout routine. During my first class I was warmly welcomed and given the recommendation to modify my workout depending on how I was feeling/how far along I was and listen to the instructor for helpful tips and ways to modify to a lower intensity. My first class left me feeling PUMPED, I totally loved it! My husband got a view of my newly learned moves when I got home and performed (what I remembered from) a routine in the kitchen. Jazzercise is a multi-generational, women led company that has been going STRONG for over 50 years.


How it's going


Our oldest is going to be double digits this year, so I have been Jazzercising just about 10 years now. Five years ago, I made the BEST decision to become a Certified Intstructor. Becoming an instructor really kicked my workouts up to the next level and there is nothing that will hold you more accountable to a workout than knowing YOU are the one responsible for teaching the class. I'm proud to be part of such a wonderful company and team of amazing FitPros around the world who get to perform, instruct and deliver quality workouts to loyal customers. Since I started 10 years ago, I've taken or taught at least 150 classes each and every year since I started. I rarely miss more than a few days in a row and love teaching/taking classes.

If all you picture are leotards and leg warmers, you definitely need to check out a class. Seriously.
